Mercy lives in a factory town
2013
gouache, watercolor, ink on paper
3800.00
30x44"

Delicate angels once roamed the planet, but they climbed up off the earth long ago, tied together with God's golden thread. Heavy Mercy was the last one, but by un-knotted thread she fell back, and now lives among us humans with pink lacquered nails and spandex pants. Her delicate nature was shattered, swept up and dust-planned long ago. And now an ironic smile plays upon her toughened face as she feeds the spinning jenny her cotton yarn while listening to the factory throttle and sing.
